From a Father to His Sons

 Your mother has reviewed this to you for years... Every school run! "Have fun, learn lots, make friends, and don't let anyone disrespect you." It is certainly better advice than my drop off message "tuck, duck, and roll"! Your wonderful mother has it right... Make friends and have fun... Learn from everything you do. Be humble enough to accept criticism and feedback, and grow from it. Learn the difference between respectful feedback and someone else's bullshit.

 I couldn't be any prouder of you. 3 sons with such different characters... I am very very very lucky as a dad! I guess this first post is to explain the reason for this blog. So many times I think of conversations we have had in the car and I think "I must remember that story for the boys", or "that's a life lesson that is worth knowing". Well, here they all are, kept immortal by the (made up) god of the Internet, Blog! I hope you find the rest of this interesting, useful, or just something to laugh at.... Any one of those and I feel guilty satisfied! Right, put down any other technology and start reading.

 I'm not even sure what this is yet.... A repository of lessons learned, insights, stories... That's the plan, but we will see what happens!
